Hmmm....one ton of rocks just doesn't go as far as it used to, apparently...

Yes, friends and neighbors, it's time for another Episode of 'Minor Disasters in Home Ownership, starring Gorm and Rhiannon'...today's episode 'Dinwiddie Gorm and the sinkhole of Doom'

See, we have a house, and it came with a driveway that can only be described as large...it's probably 2 1/2 cars wide and about 100 feet long, and there's a turnaround large enough to turn around a schoolbus (as one of the original owners of the house was a schoolbus driver, and that's the kind of thing they apparently do for fun on the weekends), so we can turn the truck around pretty darned easy.

Well...except for one thing...apparently rocks migrate...especially when exposed to amounts of rain which would make Noah ponder moving to someplace drier.

So over the last few weeks, we've been backing up into an ever increasing puddle of muddy water.

And then the mosquitos moved in...so this had to change.

So, on Saturday, Rhiannon and I said "Okay, time to dump more rocks onto the driveway, fill up the hole, and move on with life..."

Rocks are sold in 50 pound bags...30 bags later...we still have a large hole. It's marginally better, but only marginally.

Not sure what to do now...maybe we should pay somebody with a big truck to just dump a metric crapload (it has to be metric) of rocks on our driveway.

Either that, or see about paving.
